Sofia Belen Turbay, a native of Cartagena, began her academic journey at the University of Cartagena, where she earned her bachelor’s degree before pursuing her LLM at the University of Rosario in Bogotá. Despite coming from a family of politicians, Sofia chose a different path, driven by her passion for entrepreneurial ventures.
During her studies, Sofia met Miguel at a hostel in Zipaquira, Colombia, where his enthusiasm for La Carta inspired her to join the team on part-time basis. Captivated by the magazine’s mission, she eventually became a full-time member, taking on the role of Chief Legal Officer. Sofia is deeply interested in international law and is an avid fan of the series Law and Order. Her legal expertise and entrepreneurial mindset make her a vital asset to the La Carta team.
